Betta Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and the makers of Betta (“Betta Fish: Breed & Battle”, “the App”, “we”, “us”). By playing the App you agree to them. If you are a child, please read them with a parent or guardian. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

1. Playing Betta

• The App is free to download and play. You do not need an email or a sign-in: the game starts as a guest automatically.
• We give you a personal, non-transferable right to play the App for your own fun. Please do not copy, sell, reverse-engineer or modify the App, and do not use cheats, bots or tools that change how the game works or how its server is used.
• We keep improving the game. Features, seasons, prices in game coins, events and rewards can change over time.

2. Your game, your save code and your account

• Your fish and progress are saved on our server and linked to your game account.
• A save code (Settings → LOAD MY GAME) is like a password for your own saved game. It lets you bring your fish to a new phone. Keep it private: anyone with your save code can open your game. A save code never unlocks paid content.
• You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from inside the App (Settings → Delete my account). Deleting cannot be undone.
• We may reset a name, a Dream Betta design or an account, or stop an account from playing online, if it breaks these terms (for example cheating, or names that are rude or unkind).

3. Coins, pearls and items

• Coins, pearls, treats, fish, decorations and other game items are part of the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are not your property: we license them to you for use in the game.
• You cannot sell or trade game items or accounts outside the game.
• Everything that is found, dealt or won in the game is decided by our server, so it is fair for every player.

4. The Betta Club and other purchases

• The only things sold for real money are the optional Betta Club membership (monthly or yearly) and the one-time No Videos Forever pack. Prices are shown in the App before you buy, in your store's currency.
• Payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play. The Betta Club renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings (the MANAGE button on the club screen takes you there). Cancelling stops future renewals; the membership stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. If a purchase is refunded, its benefits are removed.
• Purchases belong to your store account and come back with Restore purchases on the club screen.
• Club benefits are about time and looks (rewards without videos, faster healing, extra places, cosmetic extras). They never make a fish stronger in fights. We may change, add or retire club benefits over time; if we change the price of a membership you already have, the store will ask for your approval first.
• Purchases in the App Store are also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Purchases in Google Play are also covered by the Google Play Terms of Service.

5. Being kind to other players

• Other players can see your player name, your fish's names, your main fish, your Dream Betta designs and your place on the ladder. Please use a nickname, not your real name, and keep names and designs friendly.
• Names are checked automatically and rude words are refused. Players can report a Dream Betta design; we may hide or reset designs that are rude, hurtful or not right for a family game.
• There is no chat in Betta. Never share personal information through names.

6. Ads

Betta shows optional video ads only when you choose to watch one for a reward. Ads are set up for a family audience (non-personalised, rated G) and are provided by Google AdMob.

7. Children and parents

Betta is made for families. Purchases are optional and are approved through the store account; parents can require approval with Apple's Ask to Buy or Google Play's purchase approvals. If you are a parent and have a question about your child's account, please contact us.

8. The game as it is

We work hard to keep Betta running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs. The App is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for the loss of game items caused by things outside our control. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game grows. When we make an important change, we will tell players in the game. The date at the top shows the latest version.
