Namtao — Privacy Policy

Namtao (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a friendly, social dice game (น้ำเต้าปูปลา / Nam Tao Poo Pla) that uses non-cashable virtual “stars.” This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Namtao you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Anonymous account. When you first open the App we create an anonymous account (a random identifier). You can play without giving any name, email, or personal information.
• Display profile. A randomly-generated handle (e.g. “SwiftGourd528”) and an avatar you choose. These are not real-world identifiers and are meant to keep play anonymous.
• Gameplay data. Your virtual star balance, bets, round results, and reward history, stored on our backend and linked to your account identifier. This runs the game and the leaderboard.
• Optional account linking. In Settings you may optionally add an email and password to save your progress across devices. If you do, we store that email to authenticate you. This is entirely opt-in.
• Approximate region / language. Used to localize the game.
• Advertising identifiers. If you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad, our ad provider (Google AdMob) may process your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads.
• Purchase records. If you buy a star pack, the app store (Apple or Google) processes the payment and returns a transaction identifier that we use to credit your purchase.

What we do not collect: we do not collect your real name (unless you volunteer it), and we never receive or store your payment-card details — Apple and Google handle all payments. Stars are virtual, non-cashable, and have no real-world monetary value.

2. How we use information

• To run the game, maintain your wallet and the leaderboard, and sync progress.
• To show optional, opt-in rewarded ads and credit the stars you earn.
• To process and credit in-app purchases.
• To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the game fair.
• To fix problems and improve the App.

3. Advertising

Namtao shows only optional, opt-in rewarded ads — you choose to watch a video in exchange for stars. We do not show forced or interstitial ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may use device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads; see Google’s Privacy & Terms. Where required, we present a consent choice before personalized ads are shown.

4. In-app purchases

Star packs are optional consumable purchases processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive only a transaction identifier and the product bought — never your card or bank details. Purchases are validated on our server before stars are granted.

5. Service providers

We share limited data with providers that operate the App on our behalf:

• Supabase — backend, database, and authentication hosting.
• Google AdMob — rewarded advertising.
• Apple / Google — in-app purchase processing and app distribution.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention & your choices

We keep your account and gameplay data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law or prevent abuse.

7. Children’s privacy

Namtao is a simulated social-casino-style game. There is no real-money gambling, wagering, or cash-out — stars cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value. The App is intended for adults and for users who meet the minimum age of the app store rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. Because play is anonymous by default, most data is not tied to a real identity. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. International users

The App is operated from, and data may be processed in, countries other than your own. By using the App you consent to that processing.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
