## Betta Fish: Breed & Battle

Betta Fish: Breed & Battle (called "Betta" in the app; ปลากัด in Thai) is a free 3D mobile game for Android, with an iPhone and iPad version coming soon. Players raise betta fish in their own aquarium, breed them with real Mendelian genetics, decorate their tanks, and battle other players' fish in the arena.

### What you can do in the game

- **Breed with real genetics:** every fish has a genome (14 Mendelian loci plus quantitative traits). Colours, patterns and 16 tail types (halfmoon, crowntail, plakat, double tail, spade, dumbo and more) are inherited from both parents. Fish can carry hidden recessive genes, so test-breeding reveals what they carry. The odds of each pairing are shown before you breed, and every clutch is decided fairly on the server (commit and reveal).
- **Care:** feed your fish, keep the water clean, heal torn fins with Indian almond leaves. A daily feeding streak gives gifts.
- **Fight:** a story ladder of leagues (village, province, up to Champion of Siam), seasonal story chapters, and an asynchronous arena against other players' featured fish. You steer your fish live: bite, dash and flare.
- **Explore:** swim your own betta in Fish View; the shared Pond where every player can release a fish and adopt a stranger's; the Mud Puddle, where you scoop with a hand net to find tadpoles, shrimp and four kinds of wild betta.
- **Collect and decorate:** tank themes and decorations, tank companions (guppies, cherry shrimp, mystery snails, plecos), badges, a seasonal pass, and the Grand Pool lounge for top players.
- **Seasons:** a new season every few weeks with its own story, decorations and arena ladder (for example the Festival of Lights in November and Merry Christmas in December).

- **Is Betta free?** Yes. It is free to download and play.
- **Does a fish ever die?** No. Fish faint when they lose a fight and their fins heal over time.
- **Is there gambling or betting?** No. There is no betting on fights, no loot boxes and no real-money trading.
- **Is the genetics real?** It follows real betta genetics in simplified form: dominant, recessive and incompletely dominant genes, hidden carriers and heritable traits that improve with selective breeding.
